Why have Morpheus 8?

Morpheus 8 is a revolutionary new device, known as a subdermal adipose remodelling device (SARD), that stimulates the increase of elastin and collagen in the skin to lift, form and contour.

It is a minimally invasive treatment that combines micro-needling with radio frequency technology. Morpheus 8 penetrates deep into the skin to mould and sculpt the fat and tighten the skin to create a smoother, firmer and more youthful appearance.

The device is highly-adaptable and can programme the penetration depth and energy delivery to tailor the treatment for your needs. The treatment is perfect for combatting fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, skin laxity, and improves your skin tone and texture.

Morpheus 8 is performed using topical anaesthetic. The device head has 24 coated pins that penetrate the sub-dermal tissue and make small punctures in the skin, which trigger a wound healing response to repair the skin cells. As a result, there is increased production of the skin’s vital collagen and elastin. Also, the device precisely releases radio-frequency energy to coagulate fat and heat the tissues making them contract so that the skin tightens.

FAQs

How long is the recovery?
Your recovery from Morpheus 8 will depend on the area treated and your general health and welling. There is minimal downtime following treatment. You will have redness and pinprick marks following the treatment. The redness will settle after a few hours and the pin prick marks can remain for a few days after treatment. Try to avoid touching your face for 24 hours to prevent infection and avoid applying make-up for 3 days after.
What areas can be treated?
Morpheus 8 can be used on any area of your body to rejuvenate and tighten your skin. The most popular areas are: face, neck, jowls, lower eye bags, decollete and tummy.
How many treatments of Morpheus 8 will I need?
The number of treatments varies from patient to patient. However, most require 2-3 treatments depending on skin laxity, quality and how your skin responds to the treatment. The treatments can be performed 4-8 weeks apart.
Can Morpheus 8 be used with other treatments?
Morpheus 8 can be used as a standalone treatment in combination with other treatments depending on your concerns. If skin quality and texture is your concern, combining with HydraFacial or Profhilo works really well. If lack of volume is your concern then dermal fillers can be combined for volume replacement.
Is Morpheus 8 painful?
It is slightly uncomfortable but bearable. We apply a very strong numbing cream for an hour before treatment to ensure minimal pain.
How long does the result take to work?
The results of Morpheus 8 first start to show around four weeks after the treatment. However, collagen production continues for 3-4 months after the treatment and so the results continue to improve during that period.
How long do the results last?
The results last about 2 years.
How does Morpheus 8 work?
Morpheus 8 uses micro needling techniques in conjunction with radiofrequency energy to access the deeper layers of the skin. Microneedling uses tiny needles to repeatedly puncture the surface of the skin, causing microtrauma that triggers collagen and elastin products (your body’s natural healing response) in the targeted area. The radiofrequency energy is delivered beneath the surface layers of the skin. This causes coagulation in the tissues that create exfoliation and collagen remodelling.

The combination of these two proven skin rejuvenation technologies allows this treatment to target both the upper and lower layers of the skin (epidermis and dermis). This results in deeper remodelling in the lower layers of the skin which improves the resurfacing effects if
microneedling. The depth of the radiofrequency energy delivered can actually be customised to reach different depths of the dermal layers to address your unique skin concerns with greater precision.

What is involved in the Morpheus 8 treatment?
The treatment involves applying numbing cream on the skin. This numbing cream will stay on for one hour prior to the treatment. The Morpheus 8 treatment head contains tiny needles which are placed on the skin and the needle depth can be controlled. The needles deliver radiofrequency to the underlying skin tissues. This process is repeated until the whole area is treated. Most clients experience a little discomfort due to the heat but this is manageable.
What problems can be treated with Morpheus 8?

Morpheus 8 can treat areas such as:

  • Facial lines and wrinkles
  • Jowls
  • Double Chin
  • Eye bags
  • Turkey Neck
  • Bingo wings on arms
  • Loose skin on abdomen
  • Cellulite on buttocks and thighs
