Botox

Botox (also known as Botox or anti-wrinkle injections) is a great way to target premature ageing. Facial expressions, lifestyle, sun exposure are all things that can lead to premature ageing and sometimes it’s out of our control. It can help to rejuvenate your skin by softening fine lines and wrinkles – across the forehead to crow’s feet and frown lines. Botox can be used as a maintenance treatment every 3- 6 months. Alternatively, some clients will have anti-wrinkle injections as a treat before a special occasion.

What is Botox used for?

Anti-wrinkle injections are a non-surgical treatment that helps to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing the facial muscles, giving you a more youthful, refreshed appearance. Botox can also be used to effectively treat excess sweating, gummy smile and teeth grinding. At Inside Aesthetics this prescriptive treatment is performed by our highly qualified and trained aesthetics doctor. Anti-wrinkle injections are extremely effective and one of our most popular treatments.

How long does Botox last for?

Botulinum toxin lasts about 3-6 months depending on the client. Factors such as client lifestyle, sun exposure, exercise etc will have an impact on how long the toxin lasts. At Inside Aesthetics included in your price, we offer complimentary two weeks top up appointments to ensure the best results.

What are the 3 common side effects of Botox?

Risks and benefits of having Botox will be discussed in your consultation with your practitioner. Before having the treatment we require clients to sign a consent form, to ensure they are fully informed.

The most common side-effects would be bruising or swelling. It’s important to follow our aftercare instructions. Overtreating can be a side-effect and may lead to reaching more muscles than intended (for example a brow drop). If you go to an experienced practitioner, the risk is very unlikely.

Clients who have been having anti-wrinkle injections for long periods of time can build antibodies to the toxin meaning the effect no longer works. If this is the case, another brand of toxin could be used.

Is Botox good for your face?

When Botox is used in the correct way, on clients who are suitable for the treatment, the results can be very positive and successful. Since everyone is unique, at Inside Aesthetics, we take the time to get to know our clients and understand their concerns in order to provide a comprehensive treatment plan.
