What brand of fat-dissolving injections are used?
Aqualyx is an injectable fat loss treatment that has been in use since 2009. It is a gel based solution, derived from cholanic acid, which is produced by our bile duct to help us break down fats. It is licensed for localised or spot removal of fat from areas such as the chin, knees, hips, thighs or under the buttocks and is very safe when performed by a qualified aesthetic practitioner.
Lemon Bottle is a new advanced lipolysis solution that is now available in the clinic. Lemon Bottle can target the face and body and is a high-concentration fat dissolve solution that combines Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and other premium ingredients that create fat decomposition by accelerating metabolism of fat cells. It involves minimal swelling, minimal pain and begins working immediately with instant results.
Why are fat-dissolving injections considered a great alternative to surgical liposuction?
Unlike liposuction which requires invasive surgery, a general anaesthetic and significant downtime. Aqualyx is effective and minimally invasive with little downtime.
How do fat-dissolving work?
A doctor injects the solution into the localized deposit of tissue. The fat cells in the area are then dissolved and the fat cells are destroyed permanently. The contents of the fat cells are then released and eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.
When will I start to see the results from the treatment?
You will see the results after about 4-5 weeks. Normally there is swelling after the treatment and once that has settled down you will start to see results. It is recommended to have between 2-5 sessions to see a significant effect.
